For the past few years, I have been combining my love of photography and of Jane Austen to make calendars for a particular group of friends. They begin the year in April (which is too long a story to explain) and run through March. In the past, they have been filled with group in-jokes and information. But this year I took a departure. In honour of the 200th anniversary of the publication of Pride and Prejudice, I inserted into the calendar events on the (estimated or proposed) dates they occurred, corresponding quotations from the book, and again used my own photographs taken on various trips to the UK, the individual pictures chosen to represent book locations. I was so pleased with the result, that I have decided to make it available to Austen fans who might like a useful reminder of the anniversary year of a favourite book.
