My Summer of Jane – Teaser

First of all, my apologies to those of you who began to follow my blog, only to have me go “silent” for so long!  I have had a crazy few months, both pursuing Jane Austen (hence the title of this post) and with other responsibilities, and my infant blog suffered for it.

The good news is, I am back – or will be back home tomorrow when I return from Minneapolis – and will have more time to keep up with the blog, as well as LOTS to report!!!  I basically spent a summer with Jane Austen, going to five events over the last 2-1/2 months and culminating in the JASNA AGM, which just ended.  I will be offering some insights of my experiences at all of those events.

AND… my two-volume novel, A Fitzwilliam Legacy (Volume I: Seasonal Disorder, Volume II: New Year Resolutions) has just been released!  It was launched on the blogsite moreagreeablyengaged.com by my friend Janet on Wednesday of this week, as well as the paperback being offered at the JASNA conference for its inaugural outing.  If you missed the article at moreagreeablyengaged, there is still time to head over there — share a Christmas/holiday tradition, and be entered to win a fabulous ‘giveaway’ prize!  We have a couple copies of my new two-volume novel to win — or a wonderful 2014 Pride and Prejudice calendar featuring artwork by Janet — or one of two gorgeous holiday ornaments (or desk displays), one of Lizzy Bennet holding Darcy’s letter and the other of Georgiana Darcy holding period-relevant sheet music.  Made by Barbara McNamara from her etsy shop, they’re one-of-a-kind and oh-so-wonderful!  Head on over to the site here to check it out and enter to win!!!

Again, my apologies for the lapse in posting, but I will be back (maybe even with a vengeance) soon!!!  In the meantime, I hope you had a fabulous summer, and will now settle in to autumn with a good book (dare I suggest mine? or at least Jane Austen?) or whatever your favorite autumn activities are…

Gosh, Kate – so sorry, I have only just seen this comment! Oh, how I love a good, juicy ripe pear! yum. And I’m definitely with you on the sunshine. I dread the short days of winter anymore…

My favorite autumn activities include picking pears, reading, and getting as much sunshine as I can before winter hits.

Looking forward to your posting again. :o)
