I have so many little matters to tell you of, that I cannot wait any longer before I begin to put them down.

Today we have the first available letter from the year 1811, a nice lengthy ramble through Jane Austen’s visit to her brother Henry and his wife Eliza in Sloane St in London.  All sorts of commissions being completed and news of acquaintances — and several “quotable” phrases that Austen admirers have come to be recognize as well…
