I could say this (title quote) about Jane Austen, but in fact she is referencing a letter just received (1808) from her sister Cassandra.  It serves as a reminder to me of all the letters that are missing, from both Miss Austens, which would fill in so many gaps.  But I am grateful for those we have at our disposal — that offer a glimpse at life and words such as “noonshine” that bring me smiles… in a continuation of a letter begun two days before.
