A lovely change of pace today, with a letter from 1813 written by Jane Austen to her brother, Frank, Captain of the ship HMS Elephant asail in the Baltic.  Full of news of family and friends, it also serves admirably in giving a sense of her relationships with her brothers and their various children as well.  [This letter will be concluded on 6th July, where we’ll get a teaser for her next publication.]
